Can you sell peptides on Wix, Squarespace or BigCommerce?

⚡ Short answer

Not reliably. Wix Payments lists peptides and research chemicals as prohibited, Squarespace only takes payments through mainstream providers that restrict the sector, and BigCommerce still controls your account. Most peptide brands use WooCommerce or a custom build.

PART 1

Wix

Wix's own Wix Payments rules list "peptides, research chemicals" as prohibited. Wix says it may hide products, suspend the payment account and hold funds if prohibited products are sold.

PART 2

Squarespace

Squarespace checkout takes payments through mainstream providers such as Stripe, PayPal and Square. Those providers restrict research chemicals and peptides, so there is no safe way to take card payments for them on Squarespace.

PART 3

BigCommerce

BigCommerce lets you connect more payment gateways than Wix or Squarespace, but it is still a hosted platform: BigCommerce holds the account and its rules can change. Check its current acceptable use policy and get the answer in writing before you build.

PART 4

Why most peptide brands self-host

You choose the host and the payment gateway, and can switch either.
No platform can close the whole store with one decision.
Your products, customers and orders stay in a database you own.
You can add lab-result cards, age checks and research-use wording exactly how you want.
