My payments stopped

Why did Shopify Payments stop processing my supplement sales?

⚡ Short answer

Because Shopify Payments runs on Stripe, and Stripe restricts many supplements, all peptides and research chemicals. When a review flags your products, payments are paused or closed.

STEP 1

How it usually happens

A routine review, a spike in chargebacks or a product listing triggers a check. The account is then given a date after which payments stop.

STEP 2

What gets supplement stores flagged

Health claims like "boosts testosterone" or "burns fat".
Peptides, SARMs or research chemicals anywhere in the range.
High refund or chargeback rates.
Subscriptions with unclear cancellation terms.

STEP 3

How brands keep taking cards

The usual fix is a processor that accepts higher-risk supplements, set up on a platform that lets you choose it. Adding pay-by-bank and a second gateway means one decision cannot stop all your sales.

No one can guarantee approval: it is always the processor's decision. A clean, honest site makes it far more likely.
