Why Shopify says no
Shopify has two sets of rules: one for the platform and one for Shopify Payments. Shopify Payments runs on Stripe, and Stripe restricts peptides, research chemicals and many supplements.
The platform rules also cover products that need regulatory approval and "pseudo-pharmaceuticals". Peptides fall under both, so connecting a different payment gateway does not make the store safe.

What happens to stores that try
Owners report the same pattern: the store runs for a while, then payments are paused or the store is suspended, often with little warning.
Subscription brands are hit hardest, because Shop Pay billing details cannot be moved to another platform.

What to do instead
Move to WooCommerce or a custom build, where you choose the payment gateway.
Use a processor that accepts the sector, plus a backup so sales never stop.
Keep research-use wording, an age check and no health or dosing claims on every page.
